Una descripción de tu personalidad no está completa sin hablar de tus gustos. Para aprender a hablar de tus hobbies o aficiones, puedes ir a la unidad sobre el ocio, dentro del tema de Experiencias. En esta lección, nos limitaremos a las preferencias vestimentarias, conectando con la lección anterior sobre ropa, estilos y moda.
A description of your personality isn't complete without mentioning your tastes. To learn how to talk about your hobbies or interests, you can go to the unit on leisure, within the topic of Experiences. In this lesson, we will focus on clothing preferences, connecting with the previous lesson on clothing, styles, and fashion.
Los verbos GUSTAR y ENCANTAR
The verbs 'to like' and 'to love'
To talk about our clothing preferences, we use the verbs gustar and encantar. They are translated into English as 'to like' and 'to love,' but their literal translation is 'to be pleasing' or 'to be delightful.' Therefore, they are conjugated in a special way.

Me gusta la chaqueta verde. Me gustan los abrigos elegantes. Me gusta llevar ropa cómoda. |
I like the green jacket (literally: The green jacket is pleasing to me). I like elegant coats (Elegant coats are pleasing to me). I like to wear comfortable clothes (Wearing comfortable clothes is pleasing to me). |
