7. Declaración personal
A personal statement (una declaración personal) is a written document where individuals explain their background, motivations, goals, and reasons for applying to a particular institution, job, or program. It is an opportunity to present yourself in a concise and structured way, highlighting your qualifications, experiences, and aspirations.
Personal statements are often required for university applications, scholarship opportunities, or job applications.

Activities: Se busca trabajo temporal
- Collaborative and creative work: In your group, you are going to write job ads based on the scenarios provided by your teacher. At the bottom of each ad, create three detachable contact slips with your name, email, and phone number. To revise the conventions for the ad (anuncio), click here.
- Choose an ad: All the job ads are lined up on the wall. Read the ads produced by other groups and detach one slip for your preferred job.
- Individual work: Write a personal statement to apply for the job.
- Peer feedback: Swap your personal statement with another person of your group to give and receive feedback. Make changes accordingly to perfect your text.
- Reflection and peer feedback: Submit your personal statement to the group that posted the ad and analyze the personal statements you have received for your ads. As a group, discuss and decide which one is the best. Read it out loud to the rest of the class and explain why you chose it over the others.
