How different were your marks and comments from the examiner's marks and comments? What improvements could be made to this student's response, in order to achieve better results? Comic strips have appeared on Paper 1 before. You can be assured, however, that the IB would never include a comic as edgy as this one. Paper 1 stimulus texts are not usually political or controversial. Nevertheless, exploring a text like this one generates great discussion on global issues, such as gender issues, in preparation for your IO. You may even want to read one of Alison Bechdel's graphic novels as a literary work.
