To reinforce the vocabulary and knowledge acquired in this unit, I’m suggesting a series of activities with progressively increasing levels of difficulty.

Completa los huecos con la preposición adecuada (A / AL, EN, DE / DEL, POR). Comprueba tus respuestas y mira el vídeo de Videoele. In the first activity, we’ll work with prepositions. If you need to review prepositions used with verbs of movement, go back to the corresponding lesson here. Fill in the blanks with the correct preposition (A / AL, EN, DE / DEL, POR). Check your answers and watch the Videoele video. You can also download their activity book here to keep practicing.

Tu hermanito va a tomar el avión solo por primera vez. Escribe un conjunto de instrucciones para ayudarle, explicando paso a paso lo que tiene que hacer en el aeropuerto. Usa estructuras perifrásticas (vas a / tienes que / hay que / debes + infinitivo). Usa conectores secuenciales para organizar tu texto.
Your little brother is going to take a flight alone for the first time. Write a set of instructions to help him, explaining step by step what he has to do at the airport. Use periphrastic structures (you’re going to, you have to, one has to, you must + infinitive). Use sequential connectors to organize your text.
Juan odia volar. Mira su vídeo, de Español con Juan, para descubrir el porqué. Escucha sus opiniones y pausa el vídeo para tomar notas: escribe los aspectos positivos en una columna y los negativos en otra. Apunta también las expresiones que te parezcan más interesantes o curiosas.
Juan hates flying. Watch his video, from Español con Juan, to discover the reason why. Listen to his opinions and pause the video to take notes: write the positive points in one column and the negative ones in another. Also, take note of any expressions you find interesting or curious.

Compare your notes with your partner's. Discuss the following questions:
- Were you able to understand most of Juan’s message? Did you find it difficult? What helped you understand what he was saying? Were you able to recognize many words from the lesson?
- Which expressions caught your attention?
- Why doesn’t Juan like flying? What feelings does it cause him?
- What expressions does Juan use to convey his emotions?
- Did you get the feeling that Juan was speaking directly to you? What filler phrase does Juan use to involve you in his monologue?
- Do you agree with Juan’s opinions? Are you also afraid of flying?
- What advice would you give Juan to help him overcome his fear of flying?
